  • Alberta Securities Commission 
    The Alberta Securities Commission (ASC) is the regulatory agency responsible for overseeing the capital market in Alberta. The ASC is an industry-funded provincial corporation that administers the Securities Act, the Securities Regulation and Alberta Securities Commission Rules. The purpose of this legislation is to ensure that the capital market operates fairly, that investors have timely, accurate information on which to base their investment decisions and that people who sell securities be registered.

  • British Columbia Securities Commission 
    The British Columbia Securities Commission is the independent provincial government agency responsible for regulating trading in securities in British Columbia. Its mission is to protect and promote the public interest by regulating trading in securities:

  • Ontario Securities Commission
    The Ontario Securities Commission administers and enforces securities legislation in the Province of Ontario.  Their mandate is to:  Protect investors from unfair, improper and fraudulent practices, foster fair and efficient capital markets and maintain public and investor confidence in the integrity of those markets

  • Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC)
    IIROC is the national self-regulatory organization which oversees all investment dealers and trading activity on debt and equity marketplaces in Canada.  Created in 2008 through the consolidation of the Investment Dealers Association of Canada and Market Regulation Services Inc.  IIROC sets high quality regulatory and investment industry standards, protects investors, and strengthens market integrity while maintaining efficient and competitive capital markets.  IIROC carries out its regulatory responsibilities through setting and enforcing rules regarding the proficiency, business and financial conduct of dealer firms and their registered employees and through setting and enforcing market integrity rules regarding trading activity on Canadian equity marketplaces.

  • Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA)
    The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) is a forum for the 13 securities regulators of Canada's provinces and territories to coordinate and harmonize regulation of the Canadian capital markets.

  • Manitoba Securities Commission
    The Manitoba Securities Commission is an independent agency of the Government of Manitoba which operates to protect investors and promote fair and efficient business practices throughout the province.

  • New Brunswick Securities Commission
    The New Brunswick Securities Commission is responsible for the administration of New Brunswick’s securities laws and has authority to make rules for the purposes of carrying out the Securities Act, Securities Act Amendments 2007 (Bill 62), Securities Act Amendments 2008 (Bill 52), Securities Act (consolidated).

  • Northwest Territories Securities Commission
    The Securities Act governs the sale and trading of securities in this jurisdiction. It sets out the requirements for individuals and companies to register as dealers or advisers selling securities to residents of the Northwest Territories. The Act also requires the filing of a prospectus prior to trading in any security unless the Superintendent grants an exemption from this requirement. 

  • Nova Scotia Securities Commission
    The Nova Scotia Securities Commission was established to provide investors with protection in accordance with Nova Scotia's securities laws from practices and activities that tend to undermine investor confidence in the fairness and efficiency of capital markets. We also have a mandate to foster the process of capital formation where it would not be inconsistent with an adequate level of investor protection.

  • Prince Edward Island, Department of Community Affairs, and Attorney General
    The day-to-day administration of the Province is carried out by twelve departments and a number of boards, commissions and agencies. Each department is overseen by a member of Executive Council, which is led by the Premier and supported by Executive Council Office.
