The Canadian Society of Corporate Secretaries was founded to provide its members with the tools necessary to become expert in the practice of Corporate Secretarial and Shareholder Communication Services.  CSCS is a not-for-profit national association of business executives and professionals from public, private, crown and not-for-profit corporations in Canada and the U.S.

Canadian Corporate Secretaries and their counterparts have to be familiar with various provincial securities legislation as well as foreign rules if they are inter-listed.  In this complex regulatory environment, corporate secretaries really must remain abreast of legislative changes and implementations.  In order to serve its members and provide assistance with issues in their jurisdiction, the CSCS Directors come from varying provinces across Canada.  Therefore, CSCS has a national representation of individuals who are committed to the continuous improvement of the society.
